How to Select the Pool Pump

There are currently two types of pool heat pumps on the market: fixed frequency heat pumps and variable frequency heat pumps.

 Frequency-controlled motors have the added function of frequency control. The cooling fan of an inverter motor is independent, this is to prevent the motor from running at low frequencies for long periods of time resulting in insufficient heat dissipation. In contrast, the cooling fan of an ordinary motor is integrated into the motor rotor.

Conventional single speed pumps run continuously at maximum load with low efficiency and high running costs. The variable speed pump, on the other hand, can provide a better water circulation rate, reducing losses and improving efficiency for sand tanks, disinfection systems, water heating equipment, etc. to achieve better energy saving and emission reduction.

Swimming pool pumps are mainly used to provide the power required to circulate swimming pool water. Therefore, when choosing a pump, it is important to look at the head and power. For swimming pools with special water quality, special pool pumps should be selected to avoid corrosion of the equipment at a later stage. The configuration of the pump must be matched to the volume of the swimming pool, the size and length of the water pipes, the size of the filter and other factors.
